Cadets will develop skills in teamwork, confidence and selfdiscipline, as well as having the opportunity to take on leadership roles. There will be sessions on skills such as map reading, as well as the opportunity for adventurous activity, flying, gliding and camps later in the year. Places are limited and there is a selection process to join. Cadets will be expected to commit to the unit for the duration of their school careers. Please note the finish time, which is later than our buses depart.

Help build an electric car frame and then design and build the body that the group will race in September 2024 at Castle Combe Race Course. Those interested in pursuing engineering or with an interest in racing will find it a useful activity to take part in.

The Science of Cooking When: After Tea Where: Lab 3 Who: All year groups Staff: Mr Sisson Category: Academic Endeavour We will be looking at how we can use simple scientific procedures to improve results: calibrating an oven using the melting point of sugar; the perfect ratio of ingredients, measuring the pH of foods. It is as much about investigating and testing as it is about cooking.
